LOCAL AUDUBON SOCIETY OFFERING SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS

The Potomac Valley Audubon Society is now accepting applications for its 2010 summer youth camp scholarship program.

Each year, the program helps send deserving area youngsters to summer camps that emphasize conservation and the environment.

Any youngster within the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and Washington County, Maryland is eligible to apply.

All applications must be submitted by April 8.

This year, applicants will be able to choose among six different camps that range from a "mountain adventure" camp in Spruce Knob, WV to the Society's own local-area day camps.
