Hagerstown Railroad Museum & Engine 202 Open to Visitors on April 5th
The Hagerstown Railroad Museum & Engine 202 will be opening for the season on Friday, April 5, 2013. This year the museum will be open for extended hours every Friday and Saturday.
The Hagerstown Railroad Museum & Engine 202 welcomes visitors on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Museum is also available for tours by appointment Sunday through Thursday. The Museum will be open for the season through December and is located in Hagerstown’s City Park along 525 Highland Way.
The Hagerstown Railroad Museum & Engine 202 at City Park features an outstanding collection of railroad memorabilia that is sure to please enthusiasts of all ages. The Steam Locomotive Engine 202 is the crown jewel in this wide-ranging collection and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Hagerstown Railroad Museum & Engine 202 will also be open during certain special events happening within the City of Hagerstown. Visitors can plan to tour the museum during the 2013 Museum Ramble slated for May 4th and 5th and the Railroad Heritage Days on May 18th and 19th.
The Hagerstown Railroad Museum & Engine 202 is always looking for docents and volunteers to help expand the hours offered for touring and at special events.
