CUMBERLAND VALLEY BAPTIST SETS FREE CONCERT & ICE CREAM SOCIAL
The a cappella, four-part harmonies of 4 for Him will entertain those enjoying dessert at a community Ice Cream Social in South Hagerstown Saturday, Aug. 4.
Cumberland Valley Baptist Church, 919 Corbett St., will host the event at 6 p.m. on its front lawn, midway between Wilson Boulevard and Rose Hill Cemetery.
Performing out of the Mason-Dixon Barbershop Chorus, 4 for Him mixes classic Gospel and Doowop stylings. The quartet’s bass, Ron Kline, pastors the host church.
All are welcome to attend the free event. In the event of inclement weather, the concert and Ice Cream Social will move to inside the church. For more information, call 240-500-5524.

We've got a fun day planned full of activities for you and your family. From secret sales at our Thrift Store to a bag & coat sale in the Trinity Center, food trucks, bounce house, games, prizes, and more, you'll definitely want to swing by and join in the party!
The Hagerstown Thrift Store opens at 8:30am and closes at 5pm each Saturday so our various activities will take place different times throughout the day during those hours. From 10am - 2pm (or until supplies last) we're hosting a huge bag sale and coat sale in the Trinity Center PLUS our Auxiliary will have their famous lunch stand open selling delicious food to eat while you shop and great items to take home with you like homemade soups and baked goods. The August 25 meeting of the Sharpsburg Historical Society will take place in the Methodist Episcopal Cemetery at 106 North Hall Street, Sharpsburg. The society under the guidance of Glenn Wallace of the Coalition To Protect Maryland Burial Sites will map the cemetery. The public is invited to help with the mapping or simply view and learn about the procedure and this historic cemetery. Mapping the cemetery will begin at 8:30 a.m. and be finished about noon. This mapping is a preliminary step to the preservation efforts that will begin at the cemetery this fall. .

SOUTH HAGERSTOWN CHURCH ROLLING OUT FAMILY FUN FEST AUGUST 25
HAGERSTOWN—A bounce house, cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn, hot dogs, face painting, games and prizes will all be enjoyed at Family Fun Fest being hosted by Cumberland Valley Baptist Church Saturday, Aug. 25.
Not to mention, all activities and items are free! Weather permitting, the Fest will begin at Noon on the church’s front lawn at 919 Corbett St. in South Hagerstown, midway between Wilson Boulevard and Rose Hill Cemetery.

St. Paul United Methodist Women is sponsoring a giant yard sale to benefit missions on Thursday, September 6, and Friday, September 7, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, September 8, from 8:00 AM to noon. The sale will be held in the Family Life Center of the church located at 750 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. In addition to lots of yard sale “treasures,” there will be clothing, some collectibles, and food for sale.
