"Kiwanis Club Begins 2012/13 Travelogue Season"

(Hagerstown) – The Kiwanis Club of Hagerstown begins its 38th season of The Travelogue Adventure Series this fall, with presentations at the South Hagerstown High School auditorium. Programs begin at 7:00 p.m. The series includes six programs – "Lure of Alaska" (September 26th), "Jesus in Egypt: The Greatest Untold Story" (October 10th), "Rails Across Russia" (November 7th), "Majestic Montana" (January 16th), "America – Sea to Shining Sea" (February 20th), and "Korea – Land of Morning Calm" (March 20th).

World traveler/cinematographers share their experiences in each location, highlighting customs and cultures from many lands. The professional, family entertainment series takes the audience on memorable journeys from the comfort of home.

The Travelogue Series is a community-service project of the Kiwanis Club of Hagerstown. Programs bring quality, economical entertainment to the Tri-State area. On average, 200-250 individuals attend performances. Audiences include multi-generational families enjoying adventures to distant places.

The season ticket price for six performances remains $30 for adults, or $10 for individual programs. Student season tickets are $10, or $5 for a single performance. Proceeds from the series help the Kiwanis Club of Hagerstown support the activities of charitable organizations in Washington County.
