gingerbread
Ingredients 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg 2 1/2 cups flour 1 tablespoon baking soda 1 tablespoon cinnamon 1 tablespoon ginger 1/2 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup molasses 1/2 cup hot water Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix molasses with hot water. Add dry mixture, molasses and water. Beat after each addition. Bake in 8x8x2 greased pan for 45 minutes. Cool. |
