Orange Chiffon Cake
Ingredients 2 Cups Flour 1 1/2 Cups Sugar 3 t. Baking Powder 1 t. Salt 1/2 Cup Oil 8 Eggs (separated) 3/4 Cup cold Water 2 T. Orange Extract 1/2 t. Cream of Tartar Directions Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl. make a wellin the center. Add oil, egg yolks, water and orange extract. Beat with electric mixer at low speed (one minute). Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form. Gradually pour egg yolk mixture over whites, folding just until blended. Pour batter into greased 10’’ tube pan. Cut through batter with spatula. Bake 325 degrees, 1 hour, 5 minutes (ovens vary). Invert tube pan to cool. Johannah Hendrix
