Pickled Sweet Peppers
Ingredients 2 1/2 pounds of peppers 2 cups of sugar 2 cups of cider vinegar 2 cups of water 1/2 teaspoon of celery seed 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seed 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1 teaspoon of salt Directions Wash and remove seeds. Cut into strips. Cook 3 minutes in boiling water. Drain. Add to all ingredients boiling. Simmer for 5 minutes. Pack the peppers in jar, cover with pickling mixture. Seal and process in boiling water bath - pints for 10 minutes, quarts for 15 minutes.
