Shoo-Fly Pie

Ingredients

1 Cup Flour

3/4 Cup Brown Sugar

2 T. Crisco

Directions

Mix all together with fingers; the more you mix, the finer it gets. Save 3/4 cup for top of pie. Beat: 1 egg and 1 cup molasses, dash of salt. Mix real well, then add to above mixture. Next mix 1 tsp. baking soda and 1 cup boiling water, then add to mixture. Pour in pie shell. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees, then 25 minutes at 300 degrees (ovens vary).
