Crock pot Apple Butter

 

 

Ingredients

 

2½ qts. unsweetened applesauce (if you don’t want to make this you can purchase unsweetened at the store)

4 C sugar

1 T vinegar

2 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. allspice

½ tsp. ground cloves

Combine all ingredients in crock pot and cook on high for 5 or 6 hours. Remove cover and cook 4 or 5 hours more, or until as thick as desired. Makes 6 pint jars. I process the hot jars 15 minutes in a hot water bath to seal.
