Ingredients
1 lb Ground Beef
1 small Onion - chopped
1 small Green Pepper - chopped
1 Clove Garlic
2 T Oil
1/4 t Basil
1/4 t Fennel Seed - chopped
1/2 t Black Pepper
6 oz Cooked Spaghetti
1/2 stick Melted Butter
1 Egg - beaten
1/3 c Parmesan Cheese
1 15-oz can Whole Tomatoes - chopped
1 6-oz can Tomato Paste
1 large package Grated Mozzarella Cheese
Directions
Sauté onion, pepper and garlic in oil in a large skillet. Add ground beef
and cook until meat is browned. Add spices, tomatoes and paste and cook over
low heat for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti and drain. In large
bowl mix egg, butter and parmesan cheese and add spaghetti. Toss well.
Grease a pie plate or quiche dish with shortening. Line bottom and sides of
plate with spaghetti. Cover spaghetti with half of the grated mozzarella
cheese. Add meat mixture on top. Cover with remaining mozzarella cheese.
Cover with foil and bake in 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes. Let sit a
few minutes before serving.
