Fort Frederick State Park to Host an Evening of Stargazing, October 5th
(Big Pool, MD) - Fort Frederick State Park is hosting the TriState Astronomers for an evening of stargazing. Guests will observe double stars, star clusters, nebulae, planets and galaxies using a variety of telescopes. The astronomers will help participants identify constellations and answer questions.
Who: Open to the Public
When: Saturday, October 5 at 8 p.m.
Where: Fort Frederick Nature Center, 11100 Fort Frederick Road, Big Pool, MD
Cost: $3 per vehicle for Maryland residents; $5 per vehicle for non-residents.
Attendees should dress appropriately for the weather, and are welcome to bring blankets or folding chairs, and portable telescopes and binoculars. This will be the final astronomy program of the year. In the event of thick clouds or rain, the program will be canceled.
